Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the CalmParent mobile application ("Service" or "App") operated by CalmParent ("us", "we", or "our"). Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned upon your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms.

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using CalmParent, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you must not use or access the Service.

2. Description of Service

CalmParent is designed as an AI co-parenting communication assistant. The Service offers message rewriting (BIFF-style: Brief, Informative, Friendly, Firm), reply suggestions, conflict scoring, conversation summarizing, parenting timelines, and screenshot analysis to help parents lower conflict and focus communication on their children.

3. Disclaimer of Professional Advice

You acknowledge and agree that:

• The output generated by CalmParent (including suggested replies, rewrites, and summaries) is generated by artificial intelligence models and is provided for informational and educational purposes only.
• You are solely responsible for reviewing and editing all communication before sending it to a third party. We are not responsible or liable for any consequences, disputes, or legal actions resulting from the communications you choose to send.
• We do not guarantee that the generated responses will be accepted or deemed appropriate by courts, custody evaluators, or legal professionals.

4. Subscriptions and Purchases

CalmParent offers a Free Plan with usage limits and Paid Subscriptions (Pro Monthly at $7.99/month and Pro Annual at $49.99/year) that grant unlimited usage and premium features.

• Billing & Management: All transactions are handled and processed securely by the Apple App Store. Subscription management, cancellations, and refund requests must be initiated by you through your Apple ID Account Settings.
• Auto-Renewal: Subscription purchases automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing cycle. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the App to:

• Generate, draft, or transmit any messages that are unlawful, abusive, harassing, threatening, harmful, vulgar, or obscene.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
• Attempt to bypass App limits, reverse-engineer the software, or extract proprietary database structures or code.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding user-provided inputs), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of CalmParent and its licensors. The App is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the United States and foreign countries.

7. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall CalmParent, nor its directors, employees, partners, or agents, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; (iii) any content obtained from the Service; and (iv) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
